Amid multiple women sharing on TikTok that they’ve been punched in the face while walking on New York City streets, one victim says she was pummeled so hard she suffered a broken jaw.
School bus aide Dulche Pichardo, 57, said she was heading home from work in Brooklyn when a man sucker punched her in the face and caused her to fall backward.
‘He just punched me on the right side here, very strong,’ Pichardo told PIX11 on Thursday.
‘I was surprised. I said, ‘What’s going on? Why did you hit me? Why did you do it?’ I didn’t do anything. No reason to hit me.’
Pichardo had three teeth knocked out and sustained permanent damage to her lower lip, according to ABC 7. Her mouth is wired shut due to several fractures and she may need surgery.
For the next six weeks, she will only be able to drink food from a straw.
