Arvada police are investigating after a kayaker found a man’s body along Clear Creek on Sunday, according to West Metro Fire Rescue.
The body was found along the creek near the Clear Creek trailhead at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, but it’s unclear how he died, according to a statement from the Arvada Police Department.
The trailhead is off of 48th Avenue and near Interstate 70, on the edge of Arvada and Wheat Ridge.
West Metro’s Swift Water team responded to help recover the body, and Arvada police are investigating the death.
No updates were immediately available Monday morning.
