He was sentenced in Arapahoe County Court to 52 years in the Colorado Department of Corrections with credit for almost two years of time already served and over $2,000 in fines, according to court records.

He received concurrent sentences of 32 years behind bars for child abuse resulting in death, 12 years for vehicular homicide and 6 years for vehicular assault. A consecutive sentence of 20 years for child abuse resulting in serious bodily injury brings his sentence to 52 years.

Pascual-Licea was arrested on April 8, 2022, after he crashed into an SUV carrying a family of four near South Chambers Road and East Sixth Avenue, according to previous reporting by the Denver Post. The family was on their way home from the daughter’s birthday party.
