A fundraiser for the one-year-old has already raised over £5000[/caption]
The tot, named as Teddy, was left fighting for his life after the white Peugeot he was travelling in collided with a Volvo on the road.
But the one-year-old tragically passed away from his injuries following the pile-up.
A GoFundMe page has since been set up by the family and has already raised over £5000.
The organisers of the fundraiser have now expressed their gratitude on the page, writing: “Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. It is appreciated.”
The tot’s heartbroken mum previously paid tribute to her beloved son in a post, saying her “darling Teddy” will be missed.
She wrote: “As many saw the last post about my gorgeous boy I thought it was only right to keep you updated.
“My darling boy gained his wings and is now at peace. We will obviously use the go fund me to give him the best possible send off possible.
“Thank you to everyone that reached out to me from the last post wishing us well. Your love wasn’t and isn’t unnoticed.
“Teddy you will be missed my darling.”
The devastated mum also shared: “It’s with a truly broken heart that I say this but our gorgeous boy gained his wings today.
“He was truly the sweetest most loving little character that we were blessed to have. Our hearts are shattered into pieces.
“Teddy Jason this isn’t a goodbye just a see you later.”
The heartbreaking incident took place on March 28 when a white Peugeot 208 was being driven by a woman in her twenties along the eastbound carriageway of the A303.
After colliding with a Skoda Karoq, the vehicle spun onto the westbound carriageway and crashed head-on with a silver Volvo near the Bulford junction.
She suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, as did the five-year-old boy.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Volvo, a man in his 70s, suffered minor injuries.
Wiltshire Police added: “Our thoughts are very much with the family of the child who has died at this difficult time.
“We would ask that their privacy is respected.”
Wiltshire Police urged anyone with information to come forward immediately.
The force added: “Any witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam is asked to contact the serious collision investigation team on 01225 694597 quoting log 220 of 28 March.”
