Bank Holiday revellers hit the town for third night in a row as booze-fuelled Brits make the most of their extra day off

BANK Holidays hit the town yesterday for the third night in a row – with booze-fuelled Brits making the most of their extra day off.

The weather was perfect for a night out after fears of a Bank Holiday washout.

Ladies wore heels and summery outfits while gents sported polo and t-shirts.

But a few revellers favoured hoodies and jumpers despite the evening warmth.

It comes as Brits are bracing for a soggy end to the sun-kissed Bank Holiday weekend.

Londoners are in for a heavy 14-hour downpour overnight with rumbling thunder.

Met Office expert Craig Snell said: “It’s going to be a bit of wet picture for London, especially south London, and then Kent and Sussex.

“If you are an early bird you might get some brightness first thing tomorrow morning but don’t be deceived the rain will be on its way.

“It will probably have set in by lunchtime and unfortunately it will then remain on-and-off right throughout the afternoon.

“On the whole, it’s not the best of bank holiday Monday. It will be fairly wet and some of that rain will be quite heavy.”

The Environment Agency has issued 40 amber flood alerts across the south east.

But the mercury could hit 21C in parts of Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire later today.
