It’s fair to say that Barron Trump isn’t seen out in public all that much these days.

Which is probably why the internet reacts a little bit like it’s spotted Bigfoot whenever he does.

The 20 year-old was back in view over the weekend as he joined his dad, US President Donald Trump, at the UFC Freedom 250 event held on the South Lawn of the White House.

While the event itself drew plenty of attention, much of the online chatter focused elsewhere. Barron appeared with a noticeably different look from the one people have become used to seeing…

He also sported light facial stubble, another change from the clean-shaven look he has typically maintained in public.

Barron completed the outfit with a dark blue suit and a white shirt worn open at the collar.

The appearance came on his 20th birthday and marked his first major public outing in several months. He gave off a much more laid-back, almost preppy vibe.

His last widely reported appearance alongside his father was at the State of the Union address in February.

Despite the attention he attracts online, Barron has largely stayed out of the spotlight since becoming an adult.

That preference for privacy was discussed earlier this year by Lara Trump, who is married to Barron’s half-brother Eric Trump. Speaking on her podcast, ‘The Right View with Lara Trump’, she suggested that part of Barron’s appeal is that people don’t see very much of him.

‘I feel like he’s the sleeper,’ she said. ‘You want to hear more about Barron ’cause you see less of him. And I think that’s kind of cool.’

Lara said that while she wasn’t sure how much attention Barron pays to social media discussions about him, he is aware that there’s considerable public interest.

According to her, that’s one reason he prefers to keep a relatively low profile. ‘That’s why he likes to play it cool. That’s why you don’t see him all the time,’ she explained.

She also reflected on watching him grow up over the years, joking that it made her feel ancient. ‘He’s turned out to be a really great kid,’ she added.

Away from public appearances, Barron is currently studying at New York University’s Stern School of Business campus in Washington DC.

Lara revealed that he’s looking forward to completing his studies and eventually entering the workforce.

‘I think he’s got two years left of college, but he’s excited to finish college and get out and work, which I love,’ she said.
