Coming off a game rife with mistakes on special teams by the Bears, the kicking in the Giants game could get wacky due to weather. There’s possible snow in the morning, and it’s forecasted to be 36 degrees at kickoff and windy with gusts up to 28 mph.
“I’m comfortable in it,” kicker Cairo Santos said. “It’s perfect that we got two windy days kicking Wednesday and [Friday], and it’s similar to the Saints game a couple weeks ago, so it’s something I’m familiar with.”
Additionally, the Giants don’t expect to have kicker Graham Gano because of a neck injury. Coach Brian Daboll said Younghoe Koo will kick.
They signed Koo to their practice squad in late September after the Falcons benched him for missing a game-tying 43-yard field goal in the opener. In his only game at Soldier Field, he went 1-for-3 on field goals with misses from 42 and 50 yards in 2023.
