In the latest chapter of the never-ending saga that is the Bears’ stadium future, team president/CEO Kevin Warren is throwing threats around about northwest Indiana. Were you aware northwest Indiana isn’t even in Illinois? Yes, it’s true.
In this week’s “Polling Place,” your home for Sun-Times sports polls on the social platform X, we asked how you feel about the idea of the Bears playing south of the border.
“I’m tired of the nonsense,” @RonaldVoigt4 commented.
“Leave the columns up to satisfy the preservation crowd” and rebuild on the city’s lakefront, @MarketIntuitive advised.
Next, we wanted to know how long it has been since your last visit to Soldier Field for a Bears game. This season? Last decade? Never?
“Have not spent $1 in the city since I received a red-light-camera ticket [during] the Emanual administration,” @mike_reegs5 shared.
Last, we asked for the winner of Sunday’s Bear-Packers game at Soldier Field. It’s kind of a big one, you know.
“No Micah Parsons, no problem,” @JBIRD1268 predicted.
On to the polls:
Poll No. 1: The Bears say they’re going to explore northwest Indiana as the potential site of a new dome stadium. Your initial reaction?
