Boy, 15, killed by falling tree pictured for first time

Tributes have been paid to a ‘truly special’ young boy killed by a falling tree.
Brodan Dubickas, 15, was pronounced dead at the scene in Holmcroft Park, Stafford, shortly after the tragic incident on Saturday, May 2.
Police, paramedics and an air ambulance attended the scene at 6.30pm. Brodan was sadly pronounced dead around an hour later.
Staffordshire Police cordoned off the area, which remained inaccessible to the public yesterday (Sunday, May 3).
Tributes have poured in for the boy, who was a pupil in year 10 at nearby Sir Graham Balfour School.

He previously attended Tillington Manor Primary School, who, in a post to social media, described Brodan as a ‘truly special young man’.
‘It is with great sadness and a heavy heart to share the devastating news that Brodan Dubickas, a former pupil of Tillington Manor and now a year 10 student at Sir Graham Balfour School, tragically lost his life in an accident at Holmcroft Park,’ the post read.
‘It is incredibly difficult to comprehend that a life with so much promise has been cut so short, and our whole community is deeply saddened by this loss.
‘Our heartfelt condolences go to Brodan’s parents, his family, his friends, and the wider community. They remain very much in our thoughts at this incredibly difficult time.’
A GoFundMe page set up in Brodan’s honour has so far raised more than £19,800 in donations.
Kathryn Lockley, who set up the fundraiser, said Brodan’s death had ‘deeply saddened the whole community’ and that the money raised could be spent on ‘funeral costs, [the family’s] home whilst they have time off work together or however they wish’.
‘They’re a wonderful family, hard working and polite people,’ the GoFundMe page reads,
‘I know this family, as my own children are friends with Brodan’s siblings.’
