A teenage boy was wounded in a drive-by shooting Wednesday in Austin, according to Chicago police.
The 17-year-old was on a sidewalk about 4:40 p.m. in the 5200 block of West Hirsch Street when a driver pulled up and an occupant fired shots, police said in a statement.
The boy suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his body and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
No one is in custody and Area 5 detectives are investigating.
