A 17-year-old boy was shot and critically wounded early Wednesday in a West Side apartment in Austin.
Officers responded to a call of shots fired about 12:35 a.m in a building in the 5400 block of West West End Avenue, Chicago police said.
The teen was found on a bed with gunshot wounds to his chest and back and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was in critical condition, police said.
Area 4 detectives were investigating.
