The spring bridge lift schedule resumes Wednesday along the Chicago River.
The 27 bridges along the Chicago River and its south branch will lift twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays, according to the Chicago Department of Transportation. The lift schedule stops June 24 and resumes in the fall.
Each bridge from the Ashland Avenue bridge on the south branch to DuSable Lake Shore Drive is lifted one at a time for 8 to 12 minutes, according to CDOT. The lifts typically begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesdays and 8 a.m. on Saturdays.
