A British woman has allegedly been gang-raped by several men after attending a music festival in Paris.

She was also allegedly robbed and found crying on the streets clutching her underwear during the early hours of Saturday morning in central Paris.

It happened after she left a concert at the Olympia hall – one of hundreds of music events held across the country to mark the ‘Fête de la Musique’ – or ‘Make Music Day’ in English.

Police are investigating the incident but have not yet found any suspects, according to Le Figaro.

This case comes after five teenage girls were injected with an unknown substance at a music event in Paris.

The girls aged between 13 and 17 were dancing in the crowd when suddenly they felt stings in their arms.

They then developed symptoms including dizziness and nausea, headaches and fever, eyewitnesses told Le Parisien.

Three of the girls said they were left with marks on their left arm and so far no arrests have been made.

Two men were stopped but later released after police found no evidence linking them to the attacks.

The Mayor of Saint-Maur Sylvain Berrios said incidents like these are ‘an extremely painful phenomenon’ that is ‘difficult to stop’.

He said security and CCTV had been increased around the site.

The series of CCTV cameras will help to create a live security feed to the police’s surveillance centre, which he said would aid them to find the suspects.

France’s ‘Make Music Day’ is celebrated on June 21 and has taken place each year since 1982.

Musicians from across the world make their way to the French capital and country to perform across hundreds of stages.

Amateur musicians also take to the streets and squares and often hold impromptu concerts for the public.
