A Los Angeles jewelry store owner was robbed of over $200,000 in jewelry as he drove away from a Ventura Boulevard restaurant on Monday evening, Oct. 6.
Ali Sedaghat, a jewelry store owner, told freelance videographer RMG News that he got food at a restaurant and began to drive away around 9 p.m.

Less than 100 feet away from the restaurant, on the 2100 block of Ventura Boulevard, he noticed a flat tire and stopped to look at it. That’s when he was robbed, his bag with over $200,000 worth of jewelry in it taken.
He described men dressed in all black wearing ski masks, and said one had a knife.
“They put the knife on me and they grabbed my bag and they took all of my stuff and all of my jewelry,” he said.
He believes they slashed his tire when he was in the restaurant.
Authorities confirmed they were told that three suspects, with faces covered in ski masks, committed an assault, brandishing a knife and taking a backpack with jewelry. The suspects got away in an old black van, unknown model, and police took a report, Officer Jeff Lee with LAPD media relations said.
A description of the jewelry was not available.
Detectives are investigating.
