Charges were pending for a motorist who crashed into a police car on its way to a call late Monday in the Avalon Park neighborhood on the South Side.
The officers were in the squad car that had it’s sirens and lights activated when it collided with a silver sedan that failed to yield at the intersection in the 8300 block of South Stony Island Avenue around 11:50 p.m., Chicago police said.
The officers were taken to an area hospital where they were in good condition, police said.
The sedan driver was arrested and charges were pending.
