The Solano County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people from Vallejo in connection with the shooting death of a Bay Point man whose body was found burned on Cherry Glen Road in Vacaville earlier this month.
According to investigators, deputies were called to the scene of a dead body on Cherry Glen Road on April 13 and found a man, now identified as Adam Muela, 58, of Bay Point, with gunshot wounds, his body burned.
Deputies arrested, Clifton Summerise, 52, of Vallejo, and Maria DeLeon, 42, also from Vallejo on Tuesday.
They were booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of a number of charges including robbery and murder. DeLeon is known by several names, according to court records and was booked into jail under the name Maria Anita Williams.
Both are scheduled for further arraignment at 1:30 p.m. on May 6 in the courtroom of Solano County Superior Court Judge Jeffrey C. Kauffman in Fairfield.
Though both suspects face robbery charges in addition to murder charges, investigators said the motive and circumstances surrounding the homicide are still under active investigation and said no further information will be released at this time.
