A 21-year-old motorcycle rider was arrested on suspicion of vehicular homicide after a fatal crash in Denver’s Globeville neighborhood, police said Friday.
The crash happened near southbound Interstate 25 and Park Avenue West at about 8:30 p.m. Thursday, according to the Denver Police Department.
The crash closed southbound I-25 from I-70 to 20th Street for over two hours.
A passenger on the motorcycle died from their injuries and the driver, Jacob Blackmon was arrested Friday.
Speed is suspected as a factor in the crash, Denver police said. Blackmon is being held in the Downtown Detention Center without bail and is set to appear in court July 14, according to jail records.
