Temperatures climbed to 83 degrees Sunday afternoon at Denver International Airport, the hottest November high on record for the city, according to the National Weather Service.
The afternoon heat beat Denver’s previous November record of 81 degrees, which was set on Nov. 27, 2017, according to the weather service.
Denver’s 83-degree high also broke the city’s daily heat record, according to weather service data. The previous Nov. 2 record of 78 degrees was set in 2008.
Temperatures in Denver are expected to dip back down into the high 60s and low 70s for the rest of the week, with windy weather forecast through Tuesday afternoon, weather service forecasters said.
No rain or snow is forecast for the city in the coming week, and Denver is still waiting to see its first snowfall of the season.
As of Sunday, Denver’s first snow was still on track to be one of the latest on record.
The city records its first measurable snowfall by Oct. 8 on average, according to weather service records. Saturday will mark a month past that benchmark.

If Denver doesn’t see its first snow by Nov. 14, it will be the 10th latest snowfall on record for the city, according to the weather service. If it remains dry for less than another week after that, Denver will record its third latest snow ever.
