A man died after a Des Plaines police officer shot him during a response to a domestic dispute, according to police.
Officers were responding to a “domestic disturbance” at a home in the 2000 block of Touhy Avenue at 2:32 p.m. when an officer shot Ayham Babidi, 21, during the encounter, police said. No other details about the shooting were released.
Babidi was taken to a local hospital where he later died, according to police. The Des Plaines Major Case Assistance Team is investigating.
