Ten-year-old Niner may be a senior pup, but he doesn’t shy away from a fun time. This petite, sweet miniature pinscher mix is old enough to know his mind and be well-versed in life’s basics, but young enough that he still likes to hop around and see new things. (When he’s not snugly burrowed under a blanket, that is.)

Abu is a super-cute, extremely social and smart 9-month-old pup. He knows sit, shake and down. And his head tilt when he’s listening melts the heart. Abu’s pretty easy to walk for a long-legged chipper young guy, and with a proper introduction he’s good around other dogs. Did we mention he loves to cuddle? To meet this pet at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, call 510-337-8565 or visit alamedaanimalshelter.org/adopt.

Lilo could be a computer whiz. He’s always interested in what’s going on up on his foster mom’s work desk. That is when he’s not chasing balls or engaging with the other cats he lives with. You’ll need some lap space and maybe a sunny window for this sweet 4-month-old guy. He’s got sisters looking for a home too. For more information about Lilo or any other adoptable pets with the Contra Costa SPCA, call Pat at 925-323-0667.
