We’re months into 2025 now, so you might be in desperate need of time off work soon – but the Easter weekend has got you covered.

Those who get bank holidays off work as part of their employment contract can make the most of them to maximise their annual leave.

This method, unfortunately, is no good for people who aren’t entitled to take bank holidays off.

But if you plan your holidays properly, you’ll be able to get 61 days off work in 2025.

This time off also includes weekends, which again means this method won’t work if you’re contracted to work on Saturdays or Sundays.

Easter falls on a different day each year, which can often confuse a lot of people.

This is calculated on the first Sunday after the first full moon occurring on or after the spring equinox (March 21).

The spring equinox is when day and night are of equal length.

This is fixed on March 21 to calculate when Easter will fall.
