A 16-year-old girl was fatally shot Saturday morning in unincorporated surburban Glenview, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office.
Sheriff’s officers responded to a call about a possible gunshot victim in the 3600 block of South Salem Walk around 11 a.m. and found the teen with a gunshot wound, according to the sheriff’s office.
She was taken to the Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where she was pronounced dead, officials said.
She was identified as Lilly B. Bova, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Authorities are looking for a person of interest. Anyone with information is encouraged to call Sheriff’s Police detectives at 708-865-4896.
