‘GTA VI’ Is About To Get Its Biggest Reveal Yet On Netflix

Rockstar Games has been keeping Grand Theft Auto VI unusually quiet this summer as the launch date for the game quickly approaches, but that silence is about to end in a big way. On August 27, Rockstar will deliver an “Extended Look” at the highly anticipated game, giving fans their most substantial official glimpse yet at the return to Vice City. 

The presentation, specifically not being called Trailer 3, will premiere on Netflix at 3 p.m. ET before turning up six hours later on Rockstar’s YouTube channel and the official GTA VI website. Rockstar has yet to reveal exactly what will be shown but the promise of an extended look has the gaming world expecting far more than another cinematic trailer. Campaign gameplay is to be expected but fans are ravenous for details on what the new game’s online world will entail, as it’s the online component that has kept GTA V relevant over a decade later. 

To that point, Rockstar continues to add to GTA V’s online world even as they’re actively readying to unleash GTA VI on the world and clearly sunsetting its wildly popular predecessor. July brought a steady stream of GTA Online content, including the surprise Kortz Center Heist, new vehicles, weekly bonuses and additional GTA+ promotions. On August 27, Rockstar finally has the opportunity to show players why GTA VI has been worth the wait and potentially reveal just how ambitious the upcoming version of Vice City really is.

For now, the important details remain locked in. GTA VI is still scheduled to arrive on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no new delay announced. Pre-orders are already underway, including a standard edition and an Ultimate Edition packed with additional content. After years of waiting and two previous delays, that November release date appears to be locked in and the upcoming Extended Look will undoubtedly only get the fan base hyped even more for the world’s biggest gaming franchise.
