Halloween Horror Nights 2026: Everything you need to know

Vecna, Pinhead and Ozzy Osbourne along with Irish vampires, killer clowns, evil demons and a zombie army will all terrorize Halloween Horror Nights when the annual fright fest returns to Universal Studios Hollywood.

Halloween Horror Nights will include eight new haunted mazes, six scare zones and the Terror Tram on select nights from Sept. 3 through Nov. 1 at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Halloween Horror Nights 2026 will feature six scare zones:

  • Fortnitemares is based on the Halloween seasonal event in the video game
  • Hackerz will be filled with a troop of chainsaw killers
  • El Circo de la Muerte is circus sideshow traveling across Mexico
  • Blood Bog is filled with moss monsters roaming the bogs and bayous
  • Shriek of the Banshee will feature a carnival barker and his talking skeleton
  • Murder of Crowz takes visitors into a nesting family of murderous crows

Art the Clown from the Terrifier horror film franchise will star in the Terror Tram backlot tour with a holiday soundtrack by heavy metal band Ice Nine Kills.

“The Purge: Dangerous Waters” will return to the WaterWorld theater for another fiery stunt show.

“Obsession” character Freaky Nikki from writer-director Curry Barker’s breakout horror blockbuster film will roam the darkened streets suffering from a terrifying curse during Halloween Horror Nights.

The separate admission Horror Nights event is not included with daily admission to Universal Studios Hollywood. Universal is selling an Early Access Ticket that provides entrance to select haunted mazes 90 minutes before Horror Nights officially begins each night at 7 p.m. Horror Nights season passes, front-of-the-line passes and VIP tours are also available for the event.
