(Jack Daniel’s/McLaren)
A Jack Daniel’s bottle clad in a very specific orange color can only mean one thing: a new, limited-edition McLaren Racing bottle.
Like last year, the Tennessee whiskey stalwart and British Formula One team have collaborated on a JD bottle dressed in the same papaya orange shade that wraps MCL38 race cars.
The whiskey within doesn’t stray from Jack Daniel’s tried-and-true specs. Starting with a grain bill of 80% corn, 8% rye, and 12% malted barley, the distillate is filtered through 10 feet of charcoal and aged in American white oak barrels before being bottled at 80 proof (40% abv).
“We’re proud to celebrate the continued partnership between McLaren and Jack Daniel’s, two brands known around the world for representing a spirit of boldness and authenticity,” said Jack Daniel’s brand director Jamie Butler. “Together, we’ve created unmatched fan experiences around F1 races and are looking to build upon that success and accelerate in the new race season.”
The timing of the announcement is close to perfect. At his most recent F1 outing, the Australian Grand Prix, McLaren Racing driver Lando Norris claimed his 14th career podium and first since 2023’s Sao Paulo GP. Between his and teammate Oscar Piastri’s efforts, McLaren Racing comfortably holds third in the 2024 Constructors’ Standings, which is beyond expectations given Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes’ historic dominance.
“We are delighted to be collaborating with Jack Daniel’s as they release another limited-edition bottle,” added McLaren Racing executive Matt Dennington. “The launch of last year’s bottle was a huge success, and it is great that we continue to launch unique and exciting activations for our fans globally.”
Look out for liter-sized Jack Daniel’s x McLaren Racing bottles online and in select U.S. markets and F1 race cities internationally.
