Jimmy Eat World to celebrate 25 years of ‘Bleed American’ at Hollywood Bowl
Jimmy Eat World and The Format are bringing two beloved albums to the Hollywood Bowl this fall for a one-night-only anniversary celebration.
The Arizona bands will take the stage on Saturday, Nov. 7, with Jimmy Eat World performing its 2001 record “Bleed American” in its entirety to celebrate its 25th anniversary. The Format will also perform its sophomore record “Dog Problems” in full in honor of its 20th anniversary. The concert marks the first time the two bands have shared the stage at the Los Angeles venue.

Jimmy Eat World is currently commemorating Bleed American with a 25th anniversary tour following the band’s return to the Vans Warped Tour this year at Shoreline Waterfront in Long Beach. Fans can expect to hear favorites including “Sweetness,” “The Middle” and “Hear You Me,” along with additional songs from the band’s catalog.
Originally released in 2001, “Bleed American” helped propel Jimmy Eat World into mainstream success. Earlier this month, the album earned double-platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America, adding another milestone to its legacy.
The Format, led by Nate Ruess and Sam Means, reunited in 2024 after spending nearly two decades apart. The duo returned with the independently released “Boycott Heaven,” while Dog Problems remains one of the band’s most celebrated releases.
