Kim Kardashian may not have clapped back after the release of Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department,” but she’s definitely making a bold statement about their “Bad Blood” amid a potential diss track directed at the Skims founder.

In an Instagram story posted this week, Kardashian shared a series of posts wishing her friend Derek Blasberg a happy birthday. But what has social media in a frenzy is the group selfie with Blasberg, Khloé KardashianSara Moonves and Swift’s ex-bestie, Karlie Kloss.

This comes after Swift released a track on her new album called “thanK you aIMee” which is noticeably stylized to capitalize three letters in the title that spell out KIM. That editorial choice, and many of the lyrics have fans convinced the song is about the Grammy winner’s longtime feud with Kardashian.

On Tuesday, a source told People that “[Kim’s] over it and thinks Taylor should move on,” adding Kardashian “doesn’t get why [Swift] keeps harping on it.” The source continued: “It’s been literally years.”

In the song’s chorus Swift sings, “thanK you aIMee. All that time you were throwin’ punches, I was buildin’ somethin’ / And I can’t forgive the way you made me feel / Screamed ‘F— you, Aimee’ to the night sky, as the blood was gushin’/ But I can’t forget the way you made me heal.”

Later in the song, the chorus changes to “All that time you were throwin’ punches, it was all for nothin’ / And our town, it look so small from way up here / Screamed ‘Thank you, Aimee’ to the night sky and the stars are stunnin’ / ‘Cause I can’t forget the way you made me heal.”

The duo’s rivalry started back in 2016, when Kardashian was still married to Kanye West. The rapper released a song called “Famous” where he mentioned Swift in a bar rapping,  “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that b—- famous.”

West claimed that Swift approved the song. However, a statement from Swift’s spokesperson said she was “never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that b—- famous.’

Kardashian defended her then husband by publicly releasing edited footage of the phone call between Swift and Kanye to support their side of the story. But when the full video was leaked years later in 2020, it was clear West did not mention the lyric “I made that b**** famous.”

In 2019, Kardashian said the two had moved on from the feud, but Swift had a different perspective.

“It would be nice if we could get an apology from people who bully us,” she said to Elle, seemingly referencing Kardashian. “But maybe all I’ll ever get is the satisfaction of knowing I could survive it, and thrive in spite of it.”
