“Systemwide riders can combine multiple transportation modes to get where they need to go seamlessly, easily for free,” Metro said in a statement.

Metro Bike Share users can redeem unlimited 30-minute rides throughout the day by using a promotional code through the Metro Bike Share app, online or at kiosks. Fees for electric Metro Bikes also will be waived, according to Metro.

The agency also highlighted access to destinations near recently opened D Line subway stations, including the Farmers Market, The Grove, Beverly Center and attractions in Koreatown and Mid-Wilshire.

Metro said riders using BikeLink lockers during May can receive matching parking credits through a separate promotion tied to bike commuting.

Throughout the month, bike commuters who log trips through Ride Match will be entered into drawings for prizes including bicycles, helmets, cycling gear and gift certificates, according to Metro.

Metro operates four light rail lines, two subway lines and more than 100 bus routes throughout Los Angeles County.
