The Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant will again hold one of the regular Lake Michigan Fisheries meeting on Thursday, April 10, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Wilmette Harbor Club.
I find these regular IISG meetings a wealth of information and am always stunned that more people do not attend. I plan to be there Thursday.
For instance, take the variety of topics that will be addressed at this meeting.
Illinois Natural History Survey’s Charlie Roswell will present on Lake Michigan and Calumet River smallmouth bass movement. Purdue’s Anna Hill will present on alewife diet and growth rates in Lake Michigan and an update on the Illinois Department of Natural Resources will come from Lake Michigan biologist Dan Makauskas.
A virtual meeting will be held on Thursday, April 17. Both are free but you should register at bit.ly/IISG-fisheries-2025.
