Two vehicles collided Monday morning, leaving one person dead and at least one person injured in the Washington Park neighborhood.
About 8:15 a.m. two vehicles crashed in the inbound express lanes at 55th Street, according to a statement from Illinois State Police.
One person has died and at least one person was injured, according to the statement.
As of about 1 p.m., all lanes have been reopened, after the northbound express lanes were shut down from 71st Street earlier, according to a statement from the city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communication.
