MAHA Slams Kennedy’s New Podcast, “Exit Strategy?”

Sec. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

President Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., is launching a new podcast (The Secretary Kennedy Podcast) and some of his former followers — those who use the moniker MAHA, aka “Make American Healthy Again” — are not eager to tune in.

As seen below in the video to promote the podcast, Kennedy says he’s going to “lift the taboos” when he speaks with “critical thinkers, independent doctors, and respected scientists” on his show “and expose the hypocrisy and the conflicts and the corruption.”

One MAHA supporter responded with anger. She shared a photo of herself in a wheelchair with Kennedy when he was running for president in 2024 and wrote: “I was a ‘MAHA Mom’ that backed you… We met when I was recovering from a life-saving stem cell transplant due to Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma – the EXACT cancer linked to glyphosate. You not only betrayed me, but cancer warriors across the country.”

Last year, Kennedy’s debut MAHA report said “a selection of research studies” on the herbicide glyphosate (the active ingredient in the weed killer Roundup) “have noted a range of possible health effects, ranging from reproductive and developmental disorders as well as cancers, liver inflammation and metabolic disturbances.”

But in February 2026, after executives from Bayer, the corporation that owns Roundup, met with White House officials, President Trump signed an executive order that boosted domestic glyphosate production, which triggered major backlash from MAHA loyalists.

[NOTE: Bayer denies Roundup is linked to cancer when used as directed and notes that the Trump administration’s EPA has found glyphosate is “not likely to be carcinogenic to humans.”]

Numerous X commenters complained about Kennedy “giving up the fight against glyphosate.”

One disappointed former Kennedy advocate wrote: “Bro can’t even stop Trump from providing immunity shields for glyphosate companies… but wants to start a podcast now. We don’t want you to talk about stuff. All your talking led to this moment of you at HHS. Do something, or step down and podcast like Bongino. This is corny.”

Mary Talley Bowden, MD, speculated on Kennedy’s real motive in starting the new media endeavor: “Exit strategy?”

[NOTE: The Texas Medical Board reprimanded Dr. Bowden after she prescribed ivermectin, a drug widely promoted in MAGA circles, in 2021 to a COVID-19 patient in a Fort Worth hospital where she reportedly did not have privileges. She has sued to have the reprimand overturned.]
