Major banking app goes down leaving customers locked out of accounts

Users are reporting problems accessing their Tesco banking accounts on both the app and website.

According to DownDetector, problems have been reported around the UK.

One user tweeted to Tesco’s social media help account: ‘The Tesco bank app is not working…cannot login’

And another asked: ‘Is there a problem with your system/network? I was logged out from my Tesco Bank Mobile app this morning and couldn’t log back in until now.’

Tesco Bank Help has not yet posted any information about the issue.

However, from around 7am this morning people began reporting problems with the mobile banking app, the website, and some with their Tesco credit card.
