Detectives are investigating a homicide in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood Thursday morning that left a 39-year-old man dead.
The unidentified victim was inside a residence in the 5100 block of West Deming Place when someone shot him in the chest about 4:35 a.m., police said.
He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police, who had no further details.
No arrests have been made and Area 5 detectives are investigating.
