A 20-year-old man is charged with murder in connection with the fatal shooting of another man in Little Village over the Fourth of July weekend.
Daniel Alvarado is accused of shooting and killing Moises Juarez, 47, around 10:10 p.m. July 5 in the 2600 block of South Central Park Avenue, according to Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Juarez, of Little Village, suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he died, officials said.
Alvarado, also of Little Village, was arrested Tuesday on the same block where he lives, police said.
He is charged with one felony count of first-degree murder and is expected to appear in court Friday.
