A man is accused of shooting at Chicago police officers and a woman earlier this week in South Chicago on the South Side.
Maurice Reddick, of Chicago, faces several felony charges, including attempted first degree murder, aggravated battery to a peace officer, aggravated discharge of a firearm, possession of a firearm as a repeat felon, unlawful use of a weapon, armed violence and felony possession of controlled substances, police said.
Reddick, 34, was arrested around 9:25 p.m. Tuesday after shots were fired at two on-duty officers in the 8600 block of South Marquette Avenue. Those officers were responding to a report of shots fired less than an hour earlier, police said. Reddick also is accused of shooting at a 33-year-old woman.
Reddick was slated to appear in court Friday.
