A man was critically injured in a shooting in Avalon Park Tuesday afternoon, according to the Chicago Police Department.
The victim, 46, was walking to his vehicle in the 8400 block of South Euclid Avenue at 3:45 p.m. when another man opened fire, then fled, police said.
The man, shot six times, was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.
No one is in custody, police said.
