A man was fatally shot by an employee of a business in the Near South Side on Friday night, police say.
The man, 31, was arguing with the employee around 9:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Michigan Avenue, Chicago police said.
The argument turned physical when the employee pulled out a gun, police said. The man attempted to take the gun from the employee but was shot in the head.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His name hasn’t been released.
The employee, a 32-year-old man, was placed in custody, police said. Charges were pending.
