A man was fatally shot in Edgewater early Tuesday on the North Side.
Officers responding to calls of a person shot around 2:15 a.m. found a 37-year-old man on the ground with a gunshot wound to the inner thigh in the 6000 block of North Sheridan Road, Chicago police said.
He was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where he was pronounced dead, police said.
No one was in custody and Area 3 detectives are investigating.
