POLICE have arrested and released a man on suspicion of a public order offence after racist comments were made about Rishi Sunak.
A man in his 60s was detained in Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, this afternoon.

It is understood he was taken to a local police station where he was interviewed but later released with no further action.
Police confirmed the arrest related to remarks aired on Channel 4 last night as part of an undercover investigation into Nigel Farage’s Reform campaign in Clacton.
Earlier today Essex Police said its officers were reviewing the program to establish whether an offence had been committed.
In the probe, a campaigner was caught describing the PM as a “f***ing P**i” – which today Mr Sunak said “hurts and makes me angry”.
He said: “My two daughters have to see and hear Reform people who campaign for Nigel Farage calling me an effing P***.”
The PM added party boss Farage had “questions to answer” about the “culture” in his group.
A Reform canvasser also declared that Army recruits should carry out “target practice” by shooting asylum seekers arriving in Dover on small boats.
A source told The Sun the man was arrested at around 1.30pm after “a van and a police car turned up at his house”.
A Hertfordshire Constabulary spokesman told The Sun: “Officers arrested a man in his 60s earlier today on suspicion of causing a public order offence.
“Following further review and liaison with Essex Police he is being released with no further action.”
Reform UK leader Mr Farage has distanced himself from the “appalling” remarks and said he would purge those who made them from his campaign to become an MP.
Reform chairman Richard Tice tonight said the party had sacked three members of staff following the incident.
