A man was killed and a woman critically injured in a drive-by shooting in Garfield Ridge, Chicago police said.
A man, 23, and woman, 24, were in a vehicle in the 5900 block of South Normandy Avenue at 7:09 p.m. Saturday when a dark sedan drove by and someone inside fired shots, police said.
Both victims were taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, police said. The man was shot several times and later died; the woman was shot on both sides of her face and is hospitalized in critical condition.
No one is in custody.
