A 26-year-old man was injured after being shot Saturday afternoon in the basement of an Englewood home, Chicago police said.
An unidentified person shot the man in his left shoulder at a residence along the 7000 block of South Laflin Street at about 3:28 p.m., police said.
The wounded man was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in fair condition, according to police.
Area 1 detectives are investigating.
