A man was killed after he was struck by three vehicles along Pacific Coast Highway in Long Beach on Sunday, June 9, authorities said.
Around 2:30 a.m., the victim was crossing PCH outside of a crosswalk near the intersection of Molina Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle heading east, according to the Long Beach Police Department. The man was thrown into the intersection where he was struck a second time by Kia Sportage.
The driver pulled over to call 911 and, while waiting for officers, a white truck struck the victim and dragged him east of Molino before fleeing.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Kia driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
No arrests had been announced Sunday afternoon and a description of the first vehicle was not available.
