A man who died nearly a month after he was shot in West Englewood has been identified.
Edward L. Ford, 52, was in an argument in the 6000 block of South Damen Avenue around 5:15 p.m. June 27 when he was shot in the body multiple times, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
Ford was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition and died July 23 due to complications from multiple gunshot wounds, officials said.
A 26-year-old man was taken into custody and two firearms were recovered at the scene.
