The death of a 63-year-old man who was assaulted in May in Greater Grand Crossing was ruled a homicide, officials said.
The unidentified man died of multiple injuries from an assault on May 10 in the 200 block of West 70th Street, according to an autopsy performed by the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
According to police, at approximately 8:25 a.m. 7th District officers responded to a call at the 70th Street address and found the 63-year-old male near the sidewalk with injuries to the head and face area.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Area 1 detectives were investigating.
