Moment killer, 29, makes chilling remark to pal as they stroll hand-in-hand after she knifed sugar daddy, 65, to death

THIS is the moment a killer made a chilling remark to her evil pal as they strolled hand-in-hand after she knifed her sugar daddy to death.

Lauren Harris, 29, murdered 65-year-old Mark Wilcox after he moved her into the basement of his marital home to “look after her”.

She was then seen in the footage walking alongside co-killer David Webster, 43, after they left the grandad to die in a pool of blood.

After taking off the jacket she was wearing, Harris told Webster: “Take your hat off. It’ll have his blood on it.”

The evil pair then strolled along a quiet road together as Webster chatted on the phone.

Harris then moaned: “If we go around here we’re going to get caught. You know that don’t you?”

As the killers turned back on themselves, she added: “Watching our every move.”

Harris and Webster were yesterday jailed for life after being convicted of murder.

Mold Crown Court was told Harris embarked on a relationship with Mark because he wanted to “look after her in his retirement”.

But Harris soon “took advantage” of the dad-of-two, who repeatedly let his younger lover borrow money.

By the time of his death, more than £12,000 had been withdrawn from his bank account in five months.

Mark also invited her to stay at his home in Colwyn Bay, North Wales, despite his estranged wife Marcia Wilcox still living upstairs.

Marcia moved out in October 2023, claiming there was a “cycle of shouting and abuse” when Harris moved in.

Just 30 days later, Harris invited her pals David Webster and Thomas Whiteley over for a night of “drinking and drug-taking”.

Webster told how Harris looked like a “crazed animal” as she later attacked Mark.

He said: “The look in her eyes – her pupils were massive, it was just the speed at which she did it.”

The killer claimed he tried to grab the vodka bottle but Harris was still “irate, kicking off and shouting”.

He told the court she then stabbed Mark with “no warning whatsoever” as he and Whiteley struggled to get her to stop.

Webster added: “I tried telling her to calm down, but she wouldn’t calm down. She said: ‘I’ll stab you, as well’.”

The court heard the trio stole Mark’s Volvo but crashed less than a minute after leaving the horror scene.

A post mortem showed Mark was stabbed twice in the chest and suffered “significant blows to the head”.

He also had injuries consistent with having been struck with a solid object – “such as a blood-stained vodka bottle”.

In video footage played to the court from her police interview, Harris could be seen denying she was involved in the fatal stabbing.

She said: “I’m in here because of what them two have done. It wasn’t me.”

Harris also claimed “no one’s done anything wrong” when she was arrested on suspicion of murder.

She added: “Why am I getting nicked for it? It doesn’t make sense to me. I’ve done f**k all, anyway.”

The court was told Mark previously worked for the Ministry of Defence and the BBC before retiring aged 65.

His family said: “Mark loved us all and we loved him. We have lost our loving, funny, kind, and sensitive brother, son, husband, uncle, father, grandfather, mentor, and friend.

“Mark was a kind, caring and generous man who made us smile and laugh and whom always had a kind word for everyone he met and knew.

“As a family, we have been left absolutely devastated. Mark’s grandchildren will grow up without their doting and loving grandfather.

“Mark’s death leaves a void that feels irreparable. Things will never be the same again.”
