A 34-year-old motorcyclist died Saturday after he was struck by an SUV in Archer Heights, Chicago police said.
The crash happened at 1:48 p.m. in the 4800 block of South Archer Avenue, according to police.
A 35-year-old woman was traveling southbound in an Audi SUV on Hamlin Avenue when she allegedly failed to yield the right of way and struck the man who had been riding a motorcycle west on Archer Avenue, police said.
The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where police said he was later pronounced dead.
The woman was taken to St. Anthony’s Hospital and was initially issued at least one citation, police said.
The Major Accident Investigation Unit is investigating.
