New food and drinks at Angel Stadium for the 2024 season

While this season could suffer from a lack of prowess at the plate (Shohei Ohtani found a new gig a few miles north of Gene Autry Way, but Mike Trout isn’t chopped liver), a handful of new concession stands and food options are at play for the 2024 season at Angel Stadium.

Shrimp po’boys, strawberry waffle sandwiches and beer floats are a few of the new culinary highlights that fans can find this year. With the Angels kicking off a nine-game homestand on Monday, April 22, Executive Chef Dennis Radcliffe of Legends Hospitality, the outfit in charge of food and beverage at Angel Stadium, revealed what sweet treats and savory dishes make their debut this season.

Brewery X (section 348): Noted Anaheim-based brewery’s Angel Stadium location opens the season with several new items on the menu — a shrimp taco with chorizo, Cotija cheese, cabbage and cilantro lime aioli, and a southern chopped salad with smoked chicken, baby greens and buttermilk ranch dressing.

But the real VIPs of the season are the addition of two beer floats. The 21-and-over set who imbibe can choose either a Mango Baja Boi Float, featuring Brewery X Baja Boi beer, mango sorbet, Tajin and a tamarind stick with mango spears on the side; or a Dublin My Vision Float, which comes with Brewery X stout beer, vanilla ice cream and two cookies on the side. Fret not, teetotalers, as the Dublin My Vision also comes in a non-alcoholic version with root beer.

Although technically located on the club level, Brewery X is open to everyone regardless of their seat number.

Casa Modelo (section 260): Located near the far left field, Casa Modelo offers build-your-own quesadillas and potato taquitos. “You can either get a quesadilla with birria or chipotle chicken or one of our potato taquitos,” said Radcliffe, who started working at Angel Stadium in 2013 as a cook before moving into the executive chef role in 2023. Vegetarian options include such fillings as calabazas or summer squash topped with elote salsa.

Walk-Off Waffle (section 232): A dessert spot that specializes in specialty sandwich-style waffles. Two iterations are available: Strawberries and cream, which comes with strawberry cream, fresh strawberries and Chantilly cream topped with strawberry syrup and powdered sugar, and s’mores waffles, which features chocolate ganache, marshmallow fluff and a graham cracker crumble.

Be sure to get your hands on these waffles as early as possible. “This stand has definitely been probably the most popular,” said Radcliffe. “We did not anticipate the the sheer volume of waffles that we were going to be producing.”

Pacifico Porch (section 207): New to Pacifico Porch this season are the diablo shrimp Po’boys and tacos. “For the po’boy, we take popcorn shrimp, toss it in a spicy Mexican sauce and put it between Vietnamese Bánh mi me bread we get from OC Baking,” explained Radcliff, noting that the taco version is simply wrapped in a tortilla. Chicken tenders and fries can also be found at Pacifico Porch.

The new fare and pit stops at Angel Stadium join a host of current favorites, like Strike Zone Chicken (section 223), where fans can find Nashville hot chicken sandwiches; Chronic Tacos (sections 211 and 420) for burritos, nachos and tacos; and Big A Burger (sections 107, 226, 428) for hamburgers.
