A Reform Party insider said it is “put up or shut up time” for the godfather of Brexit.
Nigel has spent months hinting that he will make a political comeback and help lead Reform at the next election.
He is understood to be considering running to be the MP for Clacton in Essex.
But Reform Party insiders are getting fed up with his constant teasing and say he has just weeks to decide if he wants to stand or not.
A source told The Sun on Sunday: “He has to stop shilly-shallying around and just decide.
“It is put up or shut up time.
“Of course we would love to have Nigel back. He would be a huge asset.
“But Reform is pretty happy without him. We don’t feel like we have to have him back to do well.”
Nigel, 60, has been toying with making a big political comeback for months.
Supporters say he will put rocket boosters under Reform’s general election campaign.
Reform – which was founded by Nigel – had its best ever byelection result last week in Blackpool South.
They came just 117 votes behind the Tories in the Blackpool South by-election – coming a close third.
A source close to Nigel said no decision has been made on his political comeback.
Mr Farage is in the US this week on a media tour.
Mr Farage said: “Talk about put up or shut up – I’ve been in America all week. I’m very lucky I’ve got a lot of choices in front me.”
