On sale today: Single-game tickets to the Golden State Valkyries

The time has finally come for single-game ticket sales to the Golden State Valkyries’ inaugural season at Chase Center.

Fans have been waiting for this since October 2023, when the WNBA announced an expansion team was coming to the Bay Area. Since then, the team has sold 10,000 season tickets.

Want to get in on the action? Here’s what you need to know:

— Presales start at noon on Wednesday for Valkyries email subscribers.

— Sales to the general public starts at 5 p.m.

Chase credit card holders get early access to ticket sales.

Tickets will be available on valkyries.com.

The season kicks off on Friday, May 16 against the Los Angeles Sparks at 7 p.m. PT.

But the team has been rapidly ramping up, building their coaching staff and roster over recent months. The Valkyries are led by coach Natalie Nakase, who was previously an assistant coach for the Las Vegas Aces and the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers, and general manager Ohemaa Nyanin, who helped build the New York Liberty’s superstar-studded roster.

On the court, the team has added proven veterans Tiffany Hayes and Monique Billings as well as highly touted sophomore Kate Martin.

The next step in their construction comes Monday night, when they hold the fifth overall pick in the WNBA Draft.
