Our nightmare neighbour is smearing POO on our homes – we’ve caught masked man on video but he’s still on the run

COPS have launched a ‘poodunnit’ after a masked bandit was caught caking a house in FAECES.

Having smeared a front door he is thought to have jettisoned the turd in a Lime bike basket and skipped off.

A woman at the daubed property said the attack has left her fearing for her safety.

Fearful of reprisal, she refused to go on record or be interviewed on Friday but said she had never seen the man before and believes it was a random attack.

Another resident in South West London described the attack as a “crime against humanity”.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “No arrests have been made yet but enquiries are ongoing.”

Residents were made aware of the attack in a Neighbourhood Watch poster which shared two images of the man in action.

It read: “This man is vandalising properties with dog or human faeces.

“He was caught on camera at 00:28 on 03/04/24.

“He was wearing a Covid mask, sunglasses and a cap to hide his face.

“It is also believed he may have a Dalmatian dog and may have walked along the road to look at the property on the morning of Tues 2nd April.”

After vandalising the home he appears to have left the poo in a hireable Lime bike basket, found by two members of the public.

A photo – which shows the muck wrapped in tissue paper and cardboard – was shared on a community WhatsApp group on Thursday.

They wrote: “So I’ve finally found an explanation for the crimes against humanity sitting in a Lime bike I picked up the other day.”

Sharing a photo of said Lime bike, a second added: “Yep sadly I think I came across the same issue.”

When The Sun visited the road, residents were aghast at the attacks.

One man said: “I’ve lived here for years and never seen anything like it. It’s a peaceful area.”

Another said they have seen a man walking a big “Dalmatian cross-type” dog similar to the description in the Neighbourhood Watch poster.

But one resident, a doctor, questioned whether a turd he found outside his front door last weekend could be linked to the same culprit.

He told The Sun: “On Saturday morning when I was leaving I noticed a large poo that was just there on the front doorstep.

“We thought it was a fox, there is a big dog that does large poos… but I did think it could be a human poo. I’ve seen a lot of poo in my job.

“I haven’t noticed anything up at this end.”

He said he has never seen the man in the pictures and his Ring Doorbell picked nothing up.

Another said he couldn’t believe what had happened and checked his CCTV while speaking to The Sun – but it produced nothing.

Other residents with door cams found no evidence either.

A Met Spokesperson told The Sun: “Police were made aware of an incident at around 00:28hrs on Wednesday, 3 April involving a man allegedly damaging a property in Battersea.

“No arrests have been made yet but enquiries are ongoing.

“The suspect has been described as a white man of medium build.

“He was thought to be wearing black skinny jeans, a navy top, a light grey cap, black and white trainers, sunglasses and a covid mask at the time of the incident.

“Anyone who has any information is encouraged to call police on 101 quoting CAD 6377/3Apr.”
